Overnight Care at Home
Standard overnight care is provided by a qualified postpartum support specialist working from an RN-developed care plan. Your nurse completes the assessment and follow-up; the specialist holds the night. "Nurse-led" doesn't mean an RN is physically present overnight — here's who does what.
Your Registered Nurse
Assessment & follow-up
Completes the initial in-person postpartum assessment, writes the personalized care plan, and schedules the separate RN follow-up visit. The RN does not stay overnight under the standard bundle.
Your Postpartum Support Specialist
Holds the night
A qualified postpartum support specialist staffs each eight-hour overnight shift, following the RN's care plan. "Night nurse" is not used to describe specialist shifts.
Plan My Overnight Care
One bundle plus additional specialist nights. Each configuration includes one initial RN assessment and one RN follow-up total.
One initial in-person RN postpartum assessment and personalized care plan, completed before specialist care begins
One eight-hour overnight shift with a qualified postpartum support specialist
One separate in-person RN follow-up visit, scheduled according to the care plan (not automatically the next morning)
How many nights?
Includes one initial RN assessment and one RN follow-up total. On longer schedules, clinical leadership reviews whether additional RN visits are needed; we disclose those and their charges (separately purchased RN follow-ups remain $135) before you accept the quote.
Already a Second Wind Family?
Restored clients may use purchased hours for daytime care, eight-hour overnight shifts, or a combination, without an overnight surcharge. Additional eight-hour specialist shifts beyond purchased hours are $400 each. Hours are never rounded into extra nights.
Reset and Recharge clients may purchase additional eight-hour specialist nights for $400 each — extra hours, not replacements for package hours.
Existing clients can request overnight care directly from the Client Portal. Your original package and nursing benefits are preserved; we flag any reassessment needs for your RN to review.
Secondary inquiry option
For families who need an appropriately qualified Registered Nurse physically present for the entire booked overnight shift. This is quote-only: there is no published rate, no automatic checkout, and no guaranteed availability until leadership confirms staffing, compensation, service scope, authorization, and insurance coverage.
Private Overnight RN Care is a separate pathway from the specialist-staffed Overnight Recovery Bundle and from Rescue Start Overnight Relief. Submitting this inquiry does not reserve services or guarantee availability.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted sleep · Specialists do not provide medical care or clinical assessments · Specialists do not perform overnight deep cleaning. Shifts are billed by actual elapsed hours in Eastern Time, including cross-midnight shifts.
Short-notice pathway
Rescue Start is the short-notice pathway for mothers already postpartum. Rescue Start Overnight Relief ($795) includes the initial RN assessment and care plan, one eight-hour specialist shift, and one RN follow-up. Care is arranged ahead with the Overnight Recovery Bundle; Rescue Start is for when you need help now.
Activation in 24–48 hours following approval, payment, and staffing confirmation. We do not guarantee immediate availability.
